What is PCOS?

Ovary diagram_edited.png

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common lifelong condition affecting ovarian function, impacting 1 in 10 individuals assigned female at birth.

Symptoms vary and may include irregular periods, excess hair growth, acne, weight gain, fertility challenges, and mood changes. PCOS also increases the risk of conditions like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

For too long, PCOS has been under-researched and poorly understood, with many women waiting years for a diagnosis and receiving little support afterward. At Woost, we’re working to change that!
